Project 1:LP Gas Incinerators

PERC supported research studied the market potential for propane-fueled portable animal carcass incineration systems. This included a survey of major U.S. incinerator manufacturers to obtain feedback on the potential success of propane-fueled incinerators. An in depth assessment of a previous West Virginia Department of Agriculture portable LP gas incinerator project was also conducted.

	Project 2:Propane-fueled biodigesters A PERC supported demonstration showed that propane can play a vital role in converting green-waste to biogas and hydrogen through an anaerobic digester. Further studies have assessed the viability of a commercial hybrid-power biodigester in the Mid-Atlantic region.
